Age Group athlete and Junior athlete participation (other than a foreign international athlete, Senior Elite and under 23 Elite athlete participation) at the South African National Championships, shall only be as a member of a team of the Provincial Member. Such athletes may only compete in the official team, clothing, kit and colours of the Provincial Member (or such other clothing, kit and colours approved by the Provincial Member). Transgression hereof shall result in automatic disqualification at the event.

An Elite under twenty three (23), Elite and Junior Elite athlete may compete at the South African National Championships in the clothing, kit and colours of his/her sponsor provided the Provincial Member approved logo (emblem and wording) is clearly visible and such clothing, kit and colours has been prior approved by the Provincial Member. Transgression hereof will result in automatic disqualification at the event Elite, Elite under 23 and Junior Elite athletes competing in sponsors kit as set out in paragraph 4.17 above must in addition comply with the uniform rules applicable to the 2007 ITU World Cup / World championships events relating to the size and position of sponsors logos as well as the athlete family name. A uniform inspection will take place at the pre race briefing and athletes who do not comply will have to race in unbranded kit or be disqualified from the event. Athletes are to be reminded of the “Bare Torso†rule and tri suits or tops fitted with front zips must be fully zipped at all times. Transgression of this rule will result in either a time penalty or disqualification at the discretion of the event referee.Athletes racing in two-piece suits must ensure that there is not more than 10cm separating the top from the bottom.
Wetsuit use at SA Triathlon Championships – Langebaan 2007:

Due to the average water temperatures at Langebaan, all events at the 2007 SA Triathlon Championships will be wetsuit legal. There is however a possibility that that the temperature could fall below 14 deg C at which point wetsuit use will be compulsory for all competitors.Athletes are to ensure that they are adequately prepared as no athlete will be permitted to participate without a wetsuit should the temperatures fall below this level. Short sleeve and knee length suits will be permitted for the juniors.The maximum stay in the water as set out in the ITU rules will also be strictly enforced for safety reasons.
